Billie Buoy

The good times roll at Billie Buoy, a new community-friendly eatery filled with the feel-good vibes of the 1980s. We developed the interiors and branding in unison to create high impact and strengthen the fun, youthful and retro-cool experience. The building has strong street presence at its corner location, and the compact 60-square-metre interior is utilised to its full potential. Designed somewhat like a diner, it features banquette seats, stainless-steel counters and arched shelving. The palette of cobalt blue and hot pink are straight out of the 1980s, with textural materials providing depth and variation. The branding, packaging and signage are inspired by the bright, colourful designs of Memphis. Neon lights help get customers into the groove, and catchy lyrics are printed on the takeaway bags.
