Biasol is in an exciting stage of growth and we are actively seeking our next finance all-rounder. The Finance Manager role requires that you bring proven business acumen, coupled with strong sense of financial management experience to help our studio deliver beyond expectation.

As a professional and experienced member of the management and finance team within our studio, your day-to-day duties will involve ensuring all financial aspects of the business are aligned for growth, profitability analysis, cash flow forecasting and general studio and accounting duties.

This Finance Manager opportunity will be hands-on and strategic in nature and will involve interacting with clients, suppliers and external consultants. The role requires your attention to detail, organisational skills, and your ability to manage all finance related tasks with a tactical and considerate approach. You will help drive projects both locally and internationally from a financial perspective and ensure that all deliverables are completed in a timely and profitable manner; subsequently facilitating a healthy cash flow for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead all business finances
  • Manage client relations and drive financial aspects of project delivery
  • Manage all accounting processes including payroll, company tax returns, all balance sheet balances (including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, depreciated, fixed assets, working capital) and all profit and loss items
  • Complete all month end and financial year end reconciliations, staff expense payments, superannuation, Workcover and PAYG withholding.
  • Manage the preparation and review of all secondary taxation returns including GST, BAS and FBT in accordance with required lodgement dates
  • Generate accurate and complete management financial statements of position and performance for the business
  • Actively manage the business’ cash position and debtor/creditor control function
  • Review and analyse monthly balance sheet reconciliations for short and long term cash flow forecasts
  • Budget preparation, management and reconciliation with consideration to team expenditure budgets reconciled against accounts payable
  • Complete all compliance and financial reporting requirements to best practice
  • Assist in the creation of fee proposals and contracts
  • Assist in general business and lead development
  • Overseeing the month end reporting timetable, preparation of the financial result and the integrity of financial records
  • Working with the team in relation to their invoiced and forecasted and projected billable hours
  • Assess and documenting current accounting processes and policies to improve efficiency, strengthen internal controls and reduce time and costs
  • Develop financial strategy and processes aligned to business strategy, including but not limited to risk minimisation, operational budgets and financial targets to enable business scalability
  • Responsible for meeting all corporate, legal and financial requirements
  • Support the team with financial projections and budgeting as required

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in commerce and/or the accounting profession for a small to medium business
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying internal control weaknesses
  • Implementation of financial processes and systems for better efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Financial Controller, in professional services or consulting
  • Cash flow and budget management on projects
  • Financial reporting and month/end year
  • Financial forecasting and strategic analysis
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in relation to the business
  • Has an ability to exercise sound judgment and leadership in management decisions

Required Skills & Attributes

  • You must be a qualified accountant (CA/CPA)
  • Degree qualified (Bachelor of Business/Commerce/Accounting) and a membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or CPA Australia
  • General knowledge of employee taxes and workcover, superannuation, Fair Work Act compliance and employment related legal matters
  • Experienced in the use of Xero online accounting software
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong technical skill-set particularly in accounting software and excel
  • Highly analytical approach and ability to think and operate at a strategic level

As a senior creative account manager your day to day will involve client management and overseeing project deliverables to meet budget and project timeframes. You will help drive design projects both locally and internationally from concept through to production, each at varying stages.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relations and drive project deliverables to the standard of the studio
  • Ability to develop strategic direction, present and communicate conceptual ideas through to end deliverables

Required Experience

  • 6-8 years in a similar Graphic and Account Manager role within a Creative Studio or Freelancer looking to return to a multidisciplinary studio environment
  • Able to develop and drive brand creative across online and offline platforms whilst understanding local area and target demographics
  • A sound understanding of marketing, branding, design and the creative process
  • Understanding of website development principles and best practice
  • Excellent communicator with an ability to liaise confidently to the team, clients and suppliers
  • Well versed with specifications, finished art and setup for production

Required Attributes

  • You have a background in web or graphic design (50%) and account management for a creative agency (50%)
  • Highly organised person with a strong attention to detail

Opportunity for a Mid-Senior level designer with 5+ years hands-on experience in running projects through all phases, with sound knowledge in developing Design Concepts, Co-ordinating Consultants, Documentation and Construction Administration.

We are looking for someone with a passion for design and detail, and an intention of growing with a team that works without division on a range of exciting projects locally and internationally. You will also be willing to work autonomously and collaboratively with the team to provide guidance for the successful delivery of all of our projects.

You are someone with strong experience in architecture and interiors spanning diverse projects in Hospitality, Residential, Multi-Residential, Retail and Workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering projects from concept through to construction
  • Assist and contribute to the delivery of projects on time, to budget and specification
  • Sourcing and specifying materials, finishes, furnishings and fittings
  • Documentation including specifications and schedules on various phases of architectural and interior projects including but not limited to concept design, schematics, design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications
  • Co-ordinate and communicate all aspects of project design to the project team
  • Liaise and work directly with clients, consultants and other professionals independently and in collaboration to deliver greater outcomes

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in a similar role within an architectural or interior studio
  • Relevant recognised degree education within architecture or interior design
  • Proven experience on hospitality and residential projects
  • Able to work closely with clients and the project team
  • Capable of running your own projects as required
  • Good space planning and spatial analysis skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of materials and products
