[Press release extract from] Cult London coffee and restaurant brand Grind is set to open it’s largest ever site – Greenwich Grind, a new south-east London flagship. Launching in late 2018 at 17-19 Nelson Road, Grind will be taking its inimitable mix of music, design, coffee, food and cocktails outside of London’s Zone 1 for the first time. Over six-thousand square feet in size, the biggest Grind to date will feature a cocktail bar and lounge to the front of the listed building, alongside a dedicated, grab-and-go café for takeaway coffee and food. To the rear will be the main event – a 160 cover indoor-outdoor dining room and garden set in the rear conservatory, flooded with natural light and already being transformed into a greenhouse-like oasis of tropical plants.

Already taking shape in the vaulted atrium previously occupied by Jamie’s Italian, Greenwich Grind promises to be not just the new kid on the block, but a significant arrival to the neighbourhood – as a discerning, all-day, every-day destination for the people of Greenwich and the surrounding area. Like the other Grind restaurants in London Bridge, Exmouth Market and Clerkenwell – Greenwich Grind will open day and night, seven days per week, serving coffee from the Grind roastery in Shoreditch, and a classic, seasonal cocktail list headed up, of course, by the infamous Grind Espresso Martini.

Grind Founder & CEO David Abrahamovitch added – “We’ve never taken a project of the scale of Greenwich Grind, and we couldn’t be more excited to share everything we’ve been working on with the people of Greenwich. From our very first visit, we all fell in love with this incredible space in this beautiful neighbourhood – and we’re thrilled to become a part of it.”
