Mid-Senior Interior Architect

Opportunity for a Mid-Senior level designer with 5+ years hands-on experience in running projects through all phases, with sound knowledge in developing Design Concepts, Co-ordinating Consultants, Documentation and Construction Administration.

We are looking for someone with a passion for design and detail, and an intention of growing with a team that works without division on a range of exciting projects locally and internationally. You will also be willing to work autonomously and collaboratively with the team to provide guidance for the successful delivery of all of our projects.

You are someone with strong experience in architecture and interiors spanning diverse projects in Hospitality, Residential, Multi-Residential, Retail and Workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering projects from concept through to construction
  • Assist and contribute to the delivery of projects on time, to budget and specification
  • Sourcing and specifying materials, finishes, furnishings and fittings
  • Documentation including specifications and schedules on various phases of architectural and interior projects including but not limited to concept design, schematics, design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications
  • Co-ordinate and communicate all aspects of project design to the project team
  • Liaise and work directly with clients, consultants and other professionals independently and in collaboration to deliver greater outcomes

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in a similar role within an architectural or interior studio
  • Relevant recognised degree education within architecture or interior design
  • Proven experience on hospitality and residential projects
  • Able to work closely with clients and the project team
  • Capable of running your own projects as required
  • Good space planning and spatial analysis skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of materials and products
  • You will have a proven track record of delivering projects from the initial client brief through to completion
  • Experience at diverse interior architectural firms

Required Attributes

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • Revit and AutoCAD proficiency are essential
  • 3D modelling in Rhino is desirable
  • Proficient in detailing and specification
  • Ability to provide guidance to junior and intermediate designers on the team
  • Highly organised person with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at varying phases
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks and time efficiently
  • Passion for design trends and aesthetics
  • Adobe Creative Suite proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
  • Microsoft Office proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Great work ethic and a desire to deliver beyond expectation
