Communications Designer

As a junior communications designer, you will assist the brand and marketing team on project communications and implementation. This role requires your creativity and tech-savvy approach, and an ability to produce engaging content on a day-to-day basis across multiple online platforms. You will be working across a variety of projects both locally and internationally, all at varying stages.

You have a great work ethic, naturally you are intuitive and a team player who is able to also drive projects autonomously to meet budgets and critical deadlines.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about communications and social platforms, content development, analytics, grammar and has impeccable attention to detail.


  • Produce and plan engaging content and communications
  • Implement internal and project campaigns, maintaining and updating these periodically
  • Assist with the development and management of online news, monthly newsletters, communications and social engagement
  • Assist with design, editing and proofreading of content
  • Optimise digital and social content on a daily basis
  • Monitor and analyse data to drive social growth across multiple platforms
  • Assist with monthly performance reporting across platforms/channels
  • Assist with the research of trends and competitors
  • Assist with brand development through communications and presentation
  • Assist with identifying new audience growth opportunities

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in a design and/or creative communications role
  • Excellent understanding and experience of managing multiple platforms including Wordpress, WooCommerce, Google Analytics, Adwords, SEO, SEM and social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business, Pinterest, Twitter and WeChat/Weibo)
  • Experience and ability to grow social following with paid and organic strategies
  • Experience managing social brands or online businesses
  • Strong design skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
  • Well versed with finished art for production and online optimisation
  • Ability to produce content true to our brand, style and tone of voice
  • Clear communicator with strength in copywriting

Required Attributes

  • You have a background in design (50%) and communications/marketing (50%)
  • You are passionate about design and communications
  • You must be a team player – strong in collaboration but able to work autonomously
  • You are a problem solver with a solid understanding of time management and process
  • Highly-organised, resourceful with great attention to detail
  • Passion for design, lifestyle, food and culture
