[Extract] For Melbourne-based design studio Biasol, design is a multi-disciplinary practice in which interiors, buildings, products, art, graphics and branding come together as one.
“We don’t just characterise our design process where interior designers work on interiors and architects only work on buildings and then somehow, they magically come together. For us, it’s really about conceiving them as one, right from the very beginning,” explains founder Jean-Pierre Biasol. This approach stems from Jean-Pierre’s experience studying in Europe, and in particular Italy, where, he says “it gave me a lot of exposure to many of the design greats, which really played a part in influencing the way our studio thinks.”
