Yellowtrace features our latest hospitality project Pentolina Pasta Bar in Melbourne’s CBD

[Extract] Bringing the art of traditional pasta making found in Rome’s winding laneways to Melbourne‘s Little Collins Street, Pentolina is a new casual dining restaurant designed by local studio Biasol. Completed in June 2018, the eatery captures Italy’s passion for food, design and good company, whilst fusing it with Melbourne’s signature hospitality aesthetic. Biasol looked to Rome’s rich culture for inspiration, resulting in an interior informed by the building’s existing fabric, historic Roman ruins and typical Italian pasta bars. The renovation of the century-old building revealed hand-rendered concrete walls which have been refined to provide a patinated backdrop, reminiscent of the stone façades found in historic Roman laneways.
